The LACDHS offers Language Identification Posters for use in health
care facitilites, with a Point-to-Card.
The 22 x 27 poster announces You have the right
to an interpreter at no cost to you. Ask the front desk in
23 different languages. After reading the poster, patients who need
language assistance go to the reception desk where a second sign,
the Point-To card asks patients to indicate their language and an
appropriate bilingual staff will be contacted. Office staff responds
according to an established Language Service Plan.
